Frequently asked questions

The main benefit is the custom design and being able to work with projects classed as engineered pools, for example working on slopes or soft ground. Building a pool onsite gives you more flexibility.

We can do anything, when it comes to shape and size. Our most memorable pool was huge, with an infinity edge, a cave and a walkway area.

Engineered pools are usually pools that have an extra challenge. For example:

  • pools on a slope or on soft ground
  • indoor pools
  • above-ground pools
  • extra deep pools
  • roof top pools
Pools that are over 12m long/ wide or deeper than 2m or don't have supporting ground are not covered by standard design specs and will require extra costs.

We always work with an engineer first, then the design is drawn up based on the engineers report which confirms how deep the piles need to go and retaining wall requirements. We work closely with engineers and the council to ensure the structure is safe.

If the land is wet or there is groundwater under the pool it can cause the pool to lift when emptying the pool. The water under the ground needs to be sucked out before building or refurbishing new pools. If you are draining an existing pool and there is a water table, you need a pumping station to drain it. Otherwise the water can push up causing the pool to collapse or rip up the bottom. During the build, we add a pumping/ water table access spot, beside the pool, which allows the water table to be accessed and drained, in order to safely drain your pool if required.

Yes. Because we build your pool on site there's no need for cranes or heavy equipment to lift in the pre-manufactured pool, big trucks and diggers. Instead we can use smaller equipment to do the job. Tight access does sometimes cost more due to time efficiency - for example a smaller digger takes longer to do the job, or conveyors may be needed to remove dirt.

We only work on one project at a time, and we talk through and focus on the best long-term and low-maintenance options to suit a client's budget. Our 20-year warranty covers the fibreglass pool shell against losing its shape, cracks or other defects.
